Course Information:
- Minimum Age: 17
- Course Duration: 29 hours (to include pre-course reading and completion of self test questions)
- Course Prerequisites: Minimum 1st4Sport Level 1 Certificate in Coaching Football and The FA Youth Award Module 1
- Member of the current FA Licensed Coaches’ Club (recommended)
- Who is it for: Coaches of those involved in the development of junior football both at the grassroots level or in the professional game.
- Course aims and objectives: To provide candidates who have an ongoing involvement in coaching young footballers with an opportunity to improve their knowledge and confidence in a range of key issues around developing and understanding practice. The course introduces a number of generic strands that are applicable to all players, regardless of age, and these are consolidated during module 3 of the award.

Course Content:
Theory: Workshops will consider age & maturity issues, different types of practice & the advantages and disadvantages of each, Unopposed & opposed practice development , dealing with talented players and issues in planning & evaluating.
Practical Involvement: This is a practically based course. Different types of practices will be demonstrated and delivered and candidates will be expected to evaluate these practices as well as plan, deliver and evaluate their own practices. Candidates will be encouraged to take part and those not taking part will be expected to build on their evaluating and observation skills
Assessment: The course has a formative assessment. Which includes planning, delivery & evaluation of a practice. Candidates receive an action plan as a result of the observations made by the tutor.

We are pleased to be able to announce we can offer coaches that are living and coaching in Leicestershire and Rutland a bursary of up to £50 off the total cost of their Youth Module Course. In order to access the bursary please book online at the relevant price either Full Price (Non Charter Standard) £135 or Charter Standard £120 and on completion of the course with 100% attendance you will be receive a refund of up to £50.00 to the payment card used when booking. Please note that there is a practical element in this course, with up to 25 hours of outdoors activities. Participants MUST bring the appropriate sports kit, including shin pads and footwear suitable for artificial grass (Astroturf trainers, moulded boots or trainers) and natural grass (football boots) on all days. Please also bring food & drinks along with a pen & notepad on all dates.

Leicestershire & Rutland County FA does not accept any responsibility for the loss, or damage to, candidate property or for personal injury however caused. If you are suspended from football (by any County FA) then you are suspended from all football activity including courses. Should you miss any session(s) of any course you sign up to the Leicestershire & Rutland County FA reserve the right to remove you from the course, and no refund will be given. However in exceptional circumstances candidates may be offered the opportunity to attend missed session(s) on other courses should availability allow, and the Leicestershire & Rutland County FA will charge you accordingly.
You will respect the course tutor, course venue and other candidates and their points of view and you will understand that if your behaviour, language or conduct is deemed ‘unacceptable’ ‘offensive’ or ‘harmful’ for any reason, the Leicestershire & Rutland County FA and the venues reserves the right to exclude you from continuing on your chosen course and if necessary, future courses.
Coach Education Cancellation Policy
Please note that any payment made is non-refundable. Leicestershire & Rutland County FA adheres to a strict cancellation policy. For all course cancellations candidates will receive credit notes for use on Leicestershire & Rutland County FA courses only to the sum of:
• 75% of course cost returned if 2 months notice given
• 50% of course cost returned if 1 month notice given
• 25% of course cost returned if less than 1 month notice given
• No credit note if less than 7 days notice given
Consideration will be given to candidates who, for health reasons are unable to attend and require a transfer to another course. A letter from a doctor or medical professional must be supplied.
