Referee Promotion - 24/25 Season

Thinking about making the next step in your refereeing career? The Grassroots Promotion Pathway provides you with the chance to move through the refereeing levels and officiate at higher levels of the game. The Pathway, which is designed to allow you to manage your own promotion and take it at a pace which suits you, is split into 4 promotion opportunity's throughout the season!

At the end of each quarter those who have met the criteria will be informed if they have been successful shortly after the deadline. Below are the dates for the promotion windows in which you will be able to either join from new or re-apply for the next stage in the pathway. Window 1 Application Period - 1st - 8th August 2024

Window 2 Application Period - 31^st October - 7^th November 2024 (Now)

Window 3 Application Period - 2^nd - 9^th January 2025

Window 4 Application Period - 28th February - 7th March 2025

If you are joining the scheme as a Level 5 or aiming for promotion to Level 4 this season. You will need to complete a mandatory fitness test as a part of a wider criteria set by the FA. Details of which will be shared with you upon signing up in due course

Payment- The cost for promotion will be £30 but if successful in the scheme, this will roll over to any additional promotions.
