Grassroots Adult 11v11 Forum

Hertfordshire FA are looking for you to tell us what you think about 11a side football.

Across England there has been a decline in adult male 11v11 football in recent years with just over 5% of teams no longer playing the game. Although the figure is small this equates to over 1,500 teams a much bigger picture that we want to address.

In Hertfordshire the decline has been more dramatic with a 12.9% decline since the 2006-2007 season. This is the equivilent to 109 teams which would be the same as losing the whole Football League, Premiership and majority on the Conference Premier divisions!

In September 2011 Hertfordshire FA conducted an audit of adult leagues within the County to understand their thoughts about 11a side football and the assistance they would like to see from Hertfordshire FA to make the game better.

We now want to know what the football workforce think!

The aim of the forum is to hear from players, coaches, referees, volunteers, parents and more to gauge what people generally feel about the traditional format of the game. It is an opportunity to come along and hear briefly from members of the County FA Development & Governance team along with committee members from Discipline, Refereeing, Competitions and Rules & Sanctions before most importantly having the opportunity to have your say.

The forums will take place across the County (five in total) before findings will be presented to adult and youth leagues from Hertfordshire and the County FA Board of Directors so your opinions are vital to make sure the information presented is a true reflection of what happens week in week out on football pitches across Hertfordshire.

Places on theses forums are limited and you must book on in order to secure your place!
