She Can Coach

#SheCanCoach is a new initiative launched by Hertfordshire FA to encourage, promote and support new and existing female coaches, wishing to start or continue their involvement in coaching football across the county.

Can I join the network?

No matter what stage of your coaching journey you are on, as long as you are female aged 16years plus, living and/or coaching in Hertfordshire, and looking for opportunities to develop as a coach, then please register your interest.

What are the benefits to joining She Can Coach?

You will:

• be part of a group of like-minded female coaches across Hertfordshire.
• have the opportunity to apply for funding for FA Coach Education courses.
• have access to an FA Mentor who can provide support and advice
• be involved with proposals for change across the county and helping us identify and reduce boundaries for female coaches.
• have the opportunity to blog for the bi-weekly She Can Coach group and share your journey as a female coach
• be invited to female only Continued Professional Development workshops
kept up to date with any opportunities to develop your coaching experience.

As the group evolves we're sure the opportunities will also.

The #SheCanCoach network will be steered by a group of females already involved in the game:

Danielle Evans - Hertfordshire FA's Coach Development Officer
Danielle started as a grassroots coach for local club Stevenage Boro Juniors FC.  She has since coached for Watford, Cambridgeshire and Arsenal Girls Centre of Excellence's/RTC's and has coached full time at The FA as a Skills Coach and Skills Team Leader. Beth Dawes - Hertfordshire FA's Football Development Officer

Beth has a wealth of experience in sport development and became football specific when she joined Hertfordshire FA.  Beth currently works part time for the organisation as FDO for North Herts and the St Albans area whilst also focusing her delivery on women and girls football across the county.

Sian Lingham - Women & Girls Special Advisor for Hertfordshire FA
Sian began to coach in football after a career of playing for Arsenal Ladies (Captain) and representing both England's and Wales's National sides.  Sian joined the coaching staff at Arsenal Ladies FC before managing Watford Ladies and Wales.  Sian now coaches the Hertfordshire School FA U14 Girls squad.
