Women in Coaching - Coaching Clinic

Workshop:  Women in Coaching - Coaching Clinic

Date: Monday 17th February 2025

Time: 7pm-8:30pm

Venue: Samuel Ryder Academy, Drakes Dr, St Albans AL1 5AR

Cost: FREE

Overview

This workshop is for women who are actively coaching football within a club setting or are looking at getting involved in the near future.

The workshop will focus on the technical components of different movement skills such as passing, receiving, dribbling and running with the ball and will feature an element of individual tactics i.e how to defend.

With a blend of inside the classroom and outside on the pitch you'll have the opportunity to:

- observe a female coach deliver a practice(s) (FA Coach Developer and/or Mentor)

- look into the practice spectrum

- participate in football practices in a safe environment (no playing experience necessary)

- in a group, discuss, support and challenge each others ideas

Please note, players will not be provided so please come wearing appropriate attire.  The group environment will be safe for all playing abilities.

Outcome

These clinics are a great way of broadening or embedding your knowledge around football whilst connecting with other women who are coaching football across the county.

Booking Process

A reminder of our booking - policies and procedures can be found here.  Please read BEFORE booking.

Are there any tasks to complete ahead of the event?

Safeguarding is of the upmost importance to Hertfordshire FA, and we encourage our coaching workforce to share this view. With that in mind, we require all coaches booking onto our CPD workshops (face to face or online) to hold an in date FA Safeguarding Children certificate prior to attending. Re-certification is FREE.

Qualifications will be checked.

In addition and as best practice we recommend that coaches complete the FA's Safeguarding Adults course and the FA's Safeguarding For All course - both of which are also FREE to complete. Furthermore, if you are coaching in the adult game we recommend you complete FA's Player Welfare in Open Age Football course - which is also FREE.

If your club would like to host a future workshop, please email danielle.evans@hertfordshirefa.com

We ask for details of ethnicity and disability for equal opportunities monitoring purposes. Monitoring is recommended by the codes of practice published by the Equality and Human Rights Commission to eliminate discrimination and promote equality. This is extremely helpful and enables us to keep confidential and anonymous records of the people who officiate in our national sport. By doing this we can spot any inequalities and work with local communities to encourage more people to Get into Football. However, we totally respect your privacy and whilst it would be really helpful if you completed this section, it is not compulsory.
