My Coaching Journey

An insight into one of our guest deliverers coaching journey. How they got to where they are, what they've learnt along the way and what advice they'd give others. An opportunity for grassroot coaches to ask any questions.

Players will be provided for practical delivery where possible. If your club or team would like to support the event by providing players please email me directly [email protected].  Please ensure you come appropriately dressed for practical involvement (where required) and to observe outside.

Booking Process

A reminder of our booking - policies and procedures can be found here.  Please read BEFORE booking.

Please note workshops are not sold separately, one ticket covers all workshops/presentations.

Are there any tasks to complete ahead of the event?

Safeguarding is of the upmost importance to Hertfordshire FA, and we encourage our coaching workforce to share this view. With that in mind, we require all coaches booking onto our coaching events/workshops (face to face or online) to hold an in date FA Safeguarding Children certificate prior to attending. Re-certification is FREE.

Qualifications will be checked.

In addition and as best practice we recommend that coaches complete the FA's Safeguarding Adults course and the FA's Safeguarding For All course - both of which are also FREE to complete. Furthermore, if you are coaching in the adult game we recommend you complete FA's Player Welfare in Open Age Football course - which is also FREE.

If your club would like to host a future workshop, please email [email protected]

We ask for details of ethnicity and disability for equal opportunities monitoring purposes. Monitoring is recommended by the codes of practice published by the Equality and Human Rights Commission to eliminate discrimination and promote equality. This is extremely helpful and enables us to keep confidential and anonymous records of the people who officiate in our national sport. By doing this we can spot any inequalities and work with local communities to encourage more people to Get into Football. However, we totally respect your privacy and whilst it would be really helpful if you completed this section, it is not compulsory.
