Join us as we collaborate with National League Aldershot Town Football Club 

Focusing on creating and exploiting space to penetrate in wide areas. Understanding when this is important and the key coaching points involved.

Creating Space & Penetration

Date: Friday 24th March 2023 

Time: 6.30pm – 8:30pm

Location: Alderwood Senior School, Tongham Rd, Aldershot GU12 4AS 

Who for? All individuals welcome (Focus around UEFA C & B)

• Aldershot Town Academy (Players)

Workshop Outcomes:

• Look to play into wide areas when opportunities to create overloads will mean that play can be progressed forwards quickly
• Ensure that width is maintained and support in wide areas can isolate and eliminate opposition defenders
• Take opportunities to break beyond the back line to receive from wide areas in behind the opposition full back
• Provide balance to shuffle and cover the ball side of the pitch, and provide options for us to circulate possession of the ball when space to progress is closed off

Additional Information:

• This workshop will be split into classroom and practical sessions. More information will be sent out in the reminder email a week prior to the event.
• Please bring sports attire, water bottles, pens and notepad. (desirable, not mandatory)
