WE CAN NOW ACCEPT APPLICATIONS FROM REFEREES CURRENTLY AT LEVEL 7, 6 AND 5 FOR PROMOTION.
If you wish to be considered for promotion the following criteria apply:
- Be aged 16 or over (must be a current Level 7 referee as a minimum)
- Have already officiated in at least 20 games of 11 v 11 football of which 15 matches must be in open age male or female football
- Apply before 30th July 2021
For Promotion to Level 6/ Promotion to Level 5, you must;
• Referee 20 games, a minimum of 80% of which must be on open-age football. Games below U18, will not be considered
• Successfully complete a Laws of the Game exam
• Attend a County FA promotion in-service training event
• Complete at least 5 games as a Supply League Assistant Referee
• Receive 3 observations
For Promotion to Level 4;
• Be a Senior County Referee (Level 5) as at the 30th April 2022
• Have received at least 5 Observer reports
• Achieved an average observer mark of 70 or above.
• Refereed a minimum of 20 adult male/female matches in total during the period 1st July 2021 – 30th April 2022. Under 18 football may be included but must not constitute more than 20% of candidate’s total matches as a referee (any youth football below Under 18 will not be considered).
• Have completed a minimum of 10 games as a Supply League Assistant Referee
• Be prepared and regularly available to referee Saturday and Midweek matches.
• Attend one of the regional in-service nomination training Sessions, delivered by The Football Association
• Successfully complete an examination on the Laws of the Game set by The Football Association.
• Successfully complete a Contributory League Assistant Referee Fitness Test on either Saturday 10th July @ Gloucester or 24th July @ Yate, prior to nomination. The minimum standard to be attained is:
o 12-minuteContinuous Run - minimum distance completed 2,600 metres
o 2 x 50 metre sprint –max 7.5 seconds for each sprint
