The Pre FA Level 1 course is designed to offer insight to those who are interested in becoming a coach or gaining a coaching qualification. This Pre Course Workshop is targeted at females who may already be helpers and / or assistants or just anyone with an interest in the game who is looking to get involved with a local team. The course will give attendees the opportunity to have a first look at how they might be able to help out at their local club as an assistant coach, helper or simply someone who might be able to fill in on the odd occasion where required.

It breaks down some of the barriers such as, “I have no playing or coaching experience” or “I don’t know the rules” and looks at the reasons why children or adults play football and what they want from their sessions. The workshop offers the chance to see experienced FA tutors deliver some very simple games and practices and attendees will leave with a range of resources which they can adapt and use in their own settings.

Finally the workshop gives a flavour of what are the prospective next steps for those who might like to consider getting involved in a Level 1 course in Coaching Football.
