Brentwood Community Football Alliance: Foundation Phase and New Coaches - Youth League Workshops

Workshop Overview

Our aim is to provide support to coaches/managers, helping to build confidence and ensuring that we are all keeping the players at the centre of everything we do.

The workshop will predominantly focus on how we best support the development of positive behaviours within football, whether matchday, training or outside of both, through both theoretical discussion and practical activity.

Who is it for?

New coaches, or coaches working within the Foundation age groups (U5-U11) who are looking at developing core coaching skills to support the creation of a positive environment.

What to expect

• Theoretical discussion around coaching players and the coaching environment.
• Practical delivery highlighting a variety of engaging and fun session ideas.

Outcomes

• Be able to understand what components supports us in creating a positive environment.
• Discuss and network with other coaches around the idea of 'coaching'.
• Consider a variety of practices to help keep players engaged and wanting to come back the following week.
