It's more than just a match! As well the hugely-anticipated BBC Essex Senior Cup Final which will take place between Colchester United and Redbridge, in which we're staging a refereeing workshop at the Jobserve Community Stadium, Colchester United FC.

From 18:15, we'll be joined by Select Group Two Referee, Josh Smith, to share his knowledge and experiences as well as how to progress, develop and improve your refereeing skills.

Josh began his refereeing journey on the Peterborough & District Junior Alliance League in 2006 at 14 years old before moving into the open-age game. In 2015, Josh was promoted to National List Assistant Referee operating on the EFL League One and Two for three seasons before specialising as a referee. One of Josh's biggest achievements to date was refereeing the League Two Play-Off Semi-Final between Colchester United and Exeter City in the first game back in the EFL post Covid-19.
