Workshop Overview

This workshop explores how to design and deliver game-related practices that recreate the demands of the game, helping players make decisions and develop in realistic football situations. Coaches will consider how practice design can maximise engagement and support player development. 

Who is it for?
  • Targeting coaches who hold any qualification.
  • 3 Hours of CPD will be accredited.
Outcomes
  • Identify the key characteristics of an effective game-related practice.
  • Design game-related practices that align with the intended session outcomes.
  • Adapt pitch size, player numbers, constraints and conditions to create appropriate challenge and maximise player engagement.
  • Deliver and review game-related practices, making effective in-session adjustments to support player learning and development.
  • 2 hours practical on the pitch.
