Workshop Overview
  • This in-person training session is part of a collaborative initiative between Access Sport and The FA to promote neuro-inclusion in grassroots football.
  • The session is designed to help coaches and volunteers better understand neurodivergence and create more inclusive football environments for neurodivergent individuals.
Who is it for?
  • This training is suitable for anyone involved in coaching within grassroots football, whether in a paid or voluntary capacity.
  • It’s ideal for those looking to improve their understanding of neurodivergence and enhance the inclusivity of their sessions.
Outcomes
  • Gain an introduction to neurodiversity and common neurodivergences such as Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, and Dyspraxia
  • Understand the barriers neurodivergent individuals face in grassroots football
  • Learn how to create neuro-inclusive environments and adapt sessions to meet diverse needs
  • Build confidence and competence in delivering inclusive football activities
  • Engage in peer discussions and learn from facilitators with lived experience
