Workshop Overview

With all the good that comes with grassroots coaching, there are also some challenging moments. Quite often we are left to our own life experiences to navigate these situations as best as we can. This workshop aims to better support coaches in understanding what behaviour is and some effective tools to help manage it, whether with players, parents, other coaches etc.


Who is it for?

Coaches who are looking at developing their own and / or others behavioural management skills, and ability to navigate common challenging situations across all stakeholders of the game.


What to expect

  • Theory and discussion around behaviour and what it does and doesn't highlight.
  • Observation of behavioural management techniques.
  • Introduction to the Matchday Environment Pack and how it can be used to provide guidance to yourself and others.
  • The role of safeguarding when making decisions around the management of specific situations.


Outcomes

  • Be able to consider the key foundations of behaviour.
  • Understand the consequences of the managment of behaviour on individuals and wider persons.
