Young Leaders, Coaches, Officals and Volunteers,

The 2nd annual Football Futures Camp is being held at Kirk Hallam Community School in Ilkeston, on the 15th and 16th of February 2016 from 8:30 to 15:30.  The Derbyshire Young Leader Management Team, a group of 10 young leaders from across Derbyshire, are running the event with the support of National FA staff and key external partners.

The camp is designed for any young people between the ages of 14 and 19, regardless of whether you have any prior knowledge or experience of football coaching, leadership or volunteering!

The Camp will encompass 3 key areas.  This will be ‘Coaching and Working with Teams’, ‘Media and Marketing the Game’ and also ‘Inclusion in Football’. The content within the workshops will be tailored to the experience of the attendees, in order to make the workshops as relevant as possible to those of you who attend.

Throughout the camp, there will be opportunities to transfer the information learnt back into the context of Derbyshire through creating links with key personnel / organisations within the field. This will be a brilliant chance to network with people within the county and potentially find a future sporting career pathway for yourself.

The camp is catered for anyone from a volunteer within a school or club, to a full time member of staff in the game. This will be a great way to receive further training to possibly push yourself onto the coaching ladder, or to allow you to access a higher standard of sports leadership- all at a low cost price of £5 for the two days!

Please remember, the camp content will be transferable to a range of sports, football is merely the vehicle for learning. Therefore we encourage you to get involved even if you have never been involved in football before.  It will be a fun and action packed camp that will equip you greatly for whatever form of sports leadership or coaching that you are involved with.

If you have any queries then please do not hesitate to contact us.

We look forward to seeing you at Camp
