The FA Referee Course
Overview
The FA Referees' Course provides an introduction to officiating 11v11 and 9v9 football. The course will introduce learners to The Laws of the Game and their application, delivered through theory and practical elements focusing on the knowledge, skills and attributes required to operate safely and effectively in grassroots football.
Minimum Age
Learners must be 14 or over on the course start date.

Safeguarding Requirements
Referees
who are 14/15 years old
- Complete the free 1 hour Safeguarding For All Workshop (valid for two years)
Safeguarding For All | England Football Learning
All other Referees who are 16+ can;
- Complete the free 1 hour Safeguarding For All Workshop (valid for two years)
Safeguarding For All | England Football Learning - Complete the new Online Safeguarding Children Course (£30) (valid for two years with continual free re-certification)
Safeguarding Children Course | England Football Learning
Qualification
Upon successful completion of the Online Guide to the Laws of the Game, Safeguarding Workshop, the 11 hours face to face course and 5 games, learners will be classified as either a Level Y/YW Referee (if aged 14 or 15) or a Level 7/4W referee (if aged 16 or above).

Dates: Monday 3rd February 2025 - 6pm-9pm & Sunday 9th February 2025 - 9am-5pm
Course Fee: £120 (Includes all training modules, Referee Starter Pack and 1st Season Referee Registration)
