Outline: This workshop explores the essential principles of effective football coaching, equipping coaches with the confidence to create positive learning experiences that support player development.


Who is it for: Targeting coaches who hold any qualification


Learning Objectives:

  • Identify the key principles that underpin effective football coaching.
  • Use appropriate coaching behaviours to support learning and engagement.
  • Create positive, safe and inclusive environments for all players.
  • Reflect on their coaching practice to support ongoing development.
  • Includes pitch-based practical session  


Workshop Prerequisites: learners are required to:

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • To book you must operate within a Birmingham affiliated club or organisation
  • For accredited CPD 3-hours to be updated to FAN learner must be assigned to a team in the FA Club Portal in a coaching role
