CPD Disability Talent ID Workshop (Evening Session)

Held in Partnership with Oxfordshire FA.

Coaches from Oxfordshire FA affiliated clubs are also welcome to attend this CPD.

  • Minimum Age: 17
  • Workshop Duration: 2 hours
  • Workshop Prerequisites: N/A
  • Who is it for: Coaches, club administrators and teachers who wish to learn more about the Disability Talent. It is specifically targeting mainstream coaches and club administrators who have little knowledge of disability football.
  • Workshop aims and objectives: The workshop is designed to give football coaches, club administrators and teachers an overview of the England Disability Talent Pathway. The workshop will also cover the talent referral process with the aim to educate participants on what to do if they spot a talented disabled players.

Workshop Content:

This is a two hour workshop where participants will be given key information to increase their knowledge on the type of player who may be eligible for the talent pathway. The workshop will cover the following:

  • Player pathway
  • Age, stage and classification
  • Eligibility and classification
  • Recognise talent/potential
  • International game format
  • Referral process
  • What can you do to help
  • Action planning
