Coaches are at the heart of every great football experience. From grassroots participation to player development, it is the passion, knowledge, and commitment of coaches that truly shape the game. That’s why we’re excited to invite you to our upcoming Coaches Conference taking place on Saturday 11th July, 10am-4pm at the iconic Bisham Abbey – a dynamic event designed to inspire, connect, and develop coaches from across the region.
We understand the importance of continuous development. The Coaches Conference is designed to not only inspire but also to provide tangible takeaways that can enhance your coaching practice immediately.

Throughout the day, you’ll take part in a series of high-quality CPD workshops delivered by our experienced team:
Delivering Engaging Game-Based Sessions – bringing training to life through realistic, player-centred practices across the different formats.
Unlocking the X-Factor: Developing Confident & Creative Players – supporting players to express themselves and make decisions with confidence.
The Adult Athlete: Engaging Players in the Competitive Game - Keeping a senior squad sharp, motivated, and working at maximum intensity during a short training session requires a specific approach to practice design.

We are delighted to welcome Lawrence Lok, FA National Coach Development Manager, who will be kicking off the Conference with a fascinating insight on "Understanding Your Players". Lawrence will explore how coaches can better understand the needs, motivations and backgrounds of their players to create inclusive, player-centred environments. It will provide strategies to strengthen relationships, adapt communication, and support individual development—helping every player feel valued and able to thrive.

Coaches will choose one of the following:
- Session 1: 3v3, 5v5, and 7v7 formats
- Session 2: 9v9 and 11v11 formats

1:45pm – Workshop #2
Participants will choose one of the following:
- Unlocking the X-Factor
- Engaging Players in the Competitive Game
3:45pm – Review & Next Steps
4:00pm – Close
*Prize draw will be drawn prior to the event and the x3 winners will contacted before 11th July with the winners collecting their prize at the event on 11th July.
