Course Description
For everyone who works with young people, this workshop focuses on making football safe. The course teaches our football workforce to promote best practice to protect young people. Candidates will learn how to recognise signs and symptoms of abuse, and understand fears involved in these concerns.
Course Pre-requisites
- Candidates must be at least 16 years of age (coaching/ standalone)
- Candidates must be at least 16 years of age (refereeing)

The workshop will raise your awareness and specifically help you to be able to:
- Identify and build on best practice in football
- Recognise signs of abuse and identify what behaviour causes concern
- Identify the actions to take if you have a concern and who can help
- Develop your action plan for change

The nearest tube station is Southgate on the Piccadilly Line. Take a 125 bus from the station to Eversley Park Road and it is a ten minute walk from there.
The nearest mainline stations are Winchmore Hill and Enfield Chase on the line to Hertford North. From Enfield Chase catch a 377 bus to Lonsdale Drive. From Winchmore Hill station catch a W9 bus to Highlands Avenue. The school is a five minute walk from either location.
Time
The Workshop starts at 1.00 pm and ends at 4.00 pm. Candidates should aim to arrive by 12.45 pm for registration.
Cost
The course fee is £30.
