Brief outline of course

FA Study Visit – Barcelona FC aiming to provide an in depth insight and analysis in to:

 

-          The culture and heritage of FC Barcelona

-          The Youth Academy Philosophy at FC Barcelona in the capital of Catalonia

-          Various aspects of the current Operation (staff, recruitment, facilities etc.)

-          Coaching Culture, Methodology, Technical and Games Programmes

-          S.W.O.T analysis of the Youth Academy and Club

 

Looking at playing with the back three – attack v defence focusing on:

-          Qualities needed by the back three defenders

-          Physical Requirements

-          Cognitive Requirements

-          Psychological Requirements

-          Skills and Situations to include case studies

Course pre-requisites

This course is for levels 3 and 4 coaches.

N.B: All coaches can of course attend this event; however CPD is only applicable for levels 3 and 4 coaches.

Refreshments and catering

You are able to bring your own refreshments onsite.

Please be aware that refreshments and lunch are not provided on this course.

Accommodation

This event is a non residential course and as such accommodation is not provided.

Dress code and equipment

There will be both practical and theoretical elements to this course, please ensure you bring appropriate writing materials and dress accordingly (casual sportswear).

Changing and shower facilities are available onsite.

Physical requirements

Please note that if a student has a disability that may prevent them participating actively in the practical sessions, then this should be made known to the course organiser at the point of registration. The course organiser will then take any necessary steps to cater for the students requirements which may include bringing in footballers to ensure there are sufficient numbers of players.

Medical requirements

If you have any medical conditions which limit/hinder your involvement or participation in coaching activities, you are obliged to declare any relevant, current or previous injuries/illnesses. If you are diagnosed as an asthmatic, diabetic or epileptic, or have any allergies that the course staff needs to be aware of, you must advise us accordingly. Please note, a declaration of injury or illness does not automatically preclude you from any course.

You should further be aware that if you are on a regular course of medication for any condition, you must have sufficient medication to cover you throughout the course. Although first aid cover is provided (where applicable) during courses, no doctor is available to replenish regular medication, nor is there any facility to deliver medical treatment for chronic (longstanding) medical conditions.

Please provide any relevant information regarding the above Medical information when completing the medical form prior to the course commencing.
