The identification and development of young footballers is an important consideration for most professional clubs. Recent reviews by some of the games major stakeholders in the UK provide a stimulus to challenge the traditional approaches used by clubs to develop players. The focus of this conference is to provide information on the potential future framework for talent identification and development in football in the UK.
