FA Licensed Coaches' Club Conference for Level 3, 4 and 5 coaches
The FA Licensed Coaches’ Club Conference 2011 offers coaches at all levels the opportunity to receive ongoing specialist training and development to enhance their coaching skills, receive five hours of relevant CPD, watch England’s National Coaches in action, and attend one of the following workshops during the afternoon session:
Developing Practices
Learning Environments
Coach Education
Developing Practices – National Coach Paul Holder will look at how practices can be developed appropriately and how different types of practices can have a particular impact on young players:
Developing a philosophy around player development
How practice will affect the development of young players – what will different types of practice do?
Developing Young players to meet the demands of the game in the future
Learning Environments – FA Learning Consultant Alistair Smith will look at how learning environments can affect the development of players. The session will look to support coaches in developing the most appropriate learning environments for their players and will look at how the environment will enable players to develop appropriately:
Importance of environment in player development - both in practice and match situations
Dealing with external pressures
How your philosophy will affect your learning environments.
Coach Education – FA Coach Education Manager Steve Rutter and his team of National Coach Educators will look at how coaches can be supported to best enable them to acquire the relevant qualifications and experience to provide the best service to players within their clubs and will look at how the Coaching Pathway helps to develop Coaches:
How you can develop as a coach - what opportunities exist?
Where are you presently/where do you want to go, and how do you give yourself the best chance of getting there?
Where will opportunities for coaches exist in the future?
What support is available to ensure you meet your goals?
Speakers will include:
Sir Trevor Brooking, Tony Minichiello (Coach to Jessica Ennis), Stuart Pearce, Gareth Southgate and many more leading coaches from football and other sports.
Wembley Tours
There is also an opportunity to take the Wembley Stadium Tour, lasting 45 minutes, whilst at the Conference, and this is offered at a reduced cost of £10 per person. Tickets will need to be purchased from the East ticket office on the day of the conference (near the Wembley Store), however please indicate on your booking form, when registering, of your intention to ensure that all coaches can be accomodated.
Five hours of CPD to be awarded including the chance to observe a practical demonstration session on Wembley pitch by FA National Coaches.
