FA Licensed Coaches' Club Conference for Level 1 and 2 coaches
The FA Licensed Coaches’ Club Conference 2011 offers coaches at all levels the opportunity to receive ongoing specialist training and development to enhance their coaching skills, receive 5 hours of relevant CPD, watch England’s National Coaches in action, and attend one of the following workshops during the afternoon session:
Developing Practices
Working with Teams
Learning Environments
Developing Practices – National Coach Paul Holder will look at how practices can be developed appropriately and how different types of practices can have a particular impact on players:
Purpose of practice
Different types of relevant practice - what are the benefits?
What is happening when players practice?
Ho to go about developing practices - will innovative pratices help to develop innovative and crative players?
Working With Teams – Regional Coach Development Managers Ian Bateman and Ben Bartlett will look at how Coaches can work with teams to have maximum impact on the long term development of those teams and the players within them . The session will also look at how Coaches can best use assistants:
Sharing and communicating your philosophy with the palyers and parents...
Developing individual long term player development
Providing information and getting feedback to and from players
Pulling this all together on match day.
Learning Environments – FA Learning Consultant Alistair Smith will look at how learning environments can affect the development of players . The session will look to support coaches in developing the most appropriate learning environments for their players and will look at how the environment will enable players to develop appropriately:
How the environment affects learning and players development
How all other duties other than Coaching can affect the environment - and how to try and ensure the environment remains a priority
Dealing with pressures from parents and other coaches
How your environment can be affected by your philosophy.
Speakers will include: Sir Trevor Brooking, Tony Minichiello (Coach to Jessica Ennis), Stuart Pearce, Gareth Southgate and many more leading coaches from football and other sports.
Wembley Tours
There is also an opportunity to take the Wembley Stadium Tour, lasting 45 minutes, whilst at the Conference, and this is offered at a reduced cost of £10 per person. Tickets will need to be purchased from the East ticket office on the day of the conference (near the Wembley Store), however please indicate on your booking form when registering, of your intention, to ensure that all coaches can be accomodated.
5 hours of CPD to be awarded including the chance to observe a practical demonstration session on Wembley pitch by FA National Coaches.
