The consolidation phase is composed of a preparatory club visit(s) in preperation for the completion of the three strands of assessment.

Course pre-requisites: |
Candidates must have the following:
- The FA Youth Award (Modules 1, 2, 3 and assessment) or for the goalkeeping phases, The FA Goalkeeping B Licence
- UEFA B Licence
- Licenced Coaches Club Member
- Candidates just be at least 21 years old
|
Who is it for?: |
The FA Advanced Youth Award is designed to support the development of coaches who have achieved the full FA Youth Award and are working, or who have a realistic opportunity of working, on a consistent and intensive basis with elite youth players.

Course content: |
The course is designed to augment the experience of club based coaches and is split into four parts.
Part 1 - The course introductory programme of four days for all age phase coaches
Part 2 - A programme of three different areas that will be delivered in discreet age phase specific groups as below:
- Social Corner (3 days)
- Psychological Corner (3 days)
· Physical Corner (3 days)
Part 3 - A demonstration programme of four days drawing together all components of the LTPD model in relation to player development
Part 4 - A consolidation phase incorporating the three strands of assessment

Course Assessment |
The assessment will be composed of the following:
- Club based coaching sessions (2) drawn from selected coaching theme blocks in specific age phases (3) – 50%
- An assessment of 12 logged coaching sessions (4 blocks of 3), together with the case study – 30%
- An oral Interview with questions selected from the expanded matrix – 20%
A mandatory club visit is required prior to the club based assessment. Please note that candidates must present themselves for assessment within three years of registration on the course.

Dress code: |
Standard dress code on the course is casual. For practically based courses, please bring sufficient outdoor kit/clothing for the duration of the course. The venue ask that candidates refrain from wearing muddy footwear inside the building.
Should the course require any alternative dress, this will be detailed in the course joining instructions.

Medical information/physical requirements: |
If you have any medical conditions which limit/hinder your involvement or participation in coaching activities, you are obliged to declare any relevant, current or previous injuries/illnesses. If you are diagnosed as an asthmatic, diabetic or epileptic, or have any allergies that the course staff needs to be aware of, you must advise us accordingly. Please note, a declaration of injury or illness does not automatically preclude you from any course.
You should further be aware that if you are on a regular course of medication for any condition, you must have sufficient medication to cover you throughout the course. Although first aid cover is provided (where applicable) during courses, no doctor is available to replenish regular medication, nor is there any facility to deliver medical treatment for chronic (longstanding) medical conditions.
Please provide any relevant information regarding the above Medical Information during the application process.
If your application to enrol is successful candidates will be required to complete a Medical Form prior to commencing the course.

Practical Information: |
Please note that if a student has a disability that may prevent them participating actively in the practical sessions, then this should be made known to the course organiser at the point of registration. The course organiser will then take any necessary steps to cater for the students requirements which may include bringing in footballers to ensure there are sufficient numbers of players. |
